You can indicate which role you would prefer. We will allocate the roles based on experience and availability.<\/p>\n<h3>Chair and Deputy Chair<\/h3>\n<p>As (deputy) chairperson, you are responsible for everything at the polling station. You lead the other members and ensure that everything runs smoothly. You oversee the voting process and maintain peace and order in the polling station. After 9.00 pm, you count the ballot papers and complete the official report. You work together with the other members and ensure tasks are divided fairly. You take turns with the other chairperson to ensure there are sufficient breaks. You have organisational and leadership skills and are meticulous, service-minded and assertive.<\/p>\n<h3>Polling station official<\/h3>\n<p>As a polling station official, you have various duties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect and check the voting passes.<\/li>\n<li>Verifying voters\u2019 identities.<\/li>\n<li>Distributing ballot papers.<\/li>\n<li>Keep track of the number of votes.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the voting process and report any issues.<\/li>\n<li>Ballots will be counted after 9.00 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You work in shifts so that you get enough rest. Everyone helps with counting the votes.<\/p>\n<h2>Reimbursement<\/h2>\n<p>If you help out at a polling station, you will receive a payment. The amount you receive depends on your role:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chairperson: \u20ac230<\/li>\n<li>Deputy Chair: \u20ac200<\/li>\n<li>Polling station official: \u20ac170<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, you will receive \u20ac35 to cover your expenses.
