We\u2019d be happy to help you get started.<\/p>\n<h2>Commercial waste collection in Apeldoorn<\/h2>\n<p>You run a business, and that involves waste. As a business owner, you are responsible for the collection of your commercial waste, including its storage and the costs associated with collection. To this end, you enter into a contract with an authorised waste collector. The costs depend on the type of waste, the quantity and the frequency of collection.<\/p>\n<p>When choosing a waste collector, you may wish to consider the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sustainability<\/strong>: Some providers operate under a zero-emission policy. Opting for this is a future-proof choice, as we are also working on zero-emission regulations in Apeldoorn.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Waste separation<\/strong>: How well can you sort different types of waste for collection?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexibility<\/strong>: Does the contract suit your company\u2019s circumstances?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sorting commercial waste<\/h2>\n<p>Waste separation is compulsory in the Netherlands and helps us move towards a circular economy. The better waste is separated, the less residual waste there is left to incinerate. That benefits both the environment and our local authority.<\/p>\n<p>Common waste streams include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paper and cardboard<\/li>\n<li>PMD (Plastic, Metal and Beverage Cartons)<\/li>\n<li>Glass<\/li>\n<li>Organic waste<\/li>\n<li>Deep-frying fat and oil (do not pour down the drain!)<\/li>\n<li>General waste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Knowing what is expected of you<\/h2>\n<p>In the Netherlands, there are clear rules governing commercial waste. As a business owner, you have a number of obligations under the Environmental Management Act and local by-laws:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must collect and store waste on your own property. Waste may only be placed in public areas on the day of collection. For general waste, please contact\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.circulus.nl\/apeldoorn\/\">Circulus<\/a>\u00a0for business use options (with a card, subject to a fee).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If you don\u2019t produce any waste, you don\u2019t have to dispose of it.<\/strong>\u00a0That saves space, money and hassle.\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/vangbuitenshuis.nl\/\">VANG Outdoors<\/a>\u00a0can help you with tips on how to reduce waste in your business.
