He does much more than just keep an eye on things. Whether it\u2019s helping someone park a heavy electric bike, handing over a bike pump or simply having a friendly chat, for Cees it\u2019s the most natural thing in the world. Especially on busy days, they go the extra mile to ensure everything runs smoothly. They help visitors, keep the cycle park tidy and sometimes ask people to park their bikes neatly in the bays, keep passageways clear or follow instructions. Unfortunately, I\u2019ve noticed that we\u2019re increasingly faced with unfriendly reactions when we speak to visitors. I find that a shame. That\u2019s why I\u2019m making a friendly appeal to everyone who uses our cycle parking facilities: please treat me and my colleagues with respect. A kind word, a smile or following a instruction makes a big difference. Together, we can ensure that the cycle parking facilities remain a pleasant and welcoming place for everyone. Fortunately, we also receive a lot of appreciation from visitors, and that makes our work even more enjoyable.\u201d<\/p>\n
