Around 60 per cent feel that there are enough community activities. Half of them actually take part in neighbourhood activities. 20 per cent would like to see more activities, particularly for children and older people.<\/p>\n<h2>Traffic<\/h2>\n<p>The exit from the neighbourhood onto Laan van Westenenk is a cause for concern. Motorists often have to wait a long time before they can merge. Pedestrians and cyclists regularly feel unsafe here.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, people drive too fast in some parts of the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<h2>Safety<\/h2>\n<p>Almost everyone considers the neighbourhood to be very safe. People keep a close eye on things, and it\u2019s easy to get in touch via the WhatsApp groups. If anything comes up, residents usually sort it out amongst themselves.<\/p>\n<h2>Housing and sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>Most residents are actively committed to sustainability. Many homes have been built to very high sustainability standards. Almost all of them are connected to the district heating network, but many residents are dissatisfied with this.<\/p>\n<h2>Outdoor space<\/h2>\n<p>Generally speaking, residents are happy with the outdoor spaces. Two-thirds consider the maintenance of green spaces to be adequate. There are ideas for expanding the popular play areas.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll be working on these and other points together. The agenda sets out the actions to be taken.<\/p>\n<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\n<p>The following areas will receive particular attention in the coming years. First and foremost, we will be investing time in maintaining social cohesion. We will also be looking at what is needed in terms of traffic, transport and local amenities. We are focusing on housing and sustainability. Someone from the crowdfunding platform will also be there <a href=\"https:\/\/voorapeldoorn.nl\/nl\/\">For Apeldoorn<\/a> present.<\/li>\n<li>In the spring, the initiative coordinators and the neighbourhood manager will be visiting the neighbourhood for an afternoon. Residents will then be able to discuss initiatives with them. We will provide information about this via the <em>Zuidkrant<\/em> and the WhatsApp groups.<\/li>\n<li>We get in touch with volunteers: people who have indicated that they want to get involved in the neighbourhood. We tell them about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.apeldoorn.nl\/wonen-en-leven\/sport-ontspanning-en-cultuur\/subsidies\/subsidie-inwonersinitiatieven\">scheme for residents\u2019 initiatives<\/a>. For example, we are looking at widening the central reservation and making the bends less sharp. If necessary, we will provide further information on how to apply for a licence. There is still scope for further licences.<\/li>\n<li>In the <em>Zuidkrant<\/em> We\u2019ll explain the rules for parking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>Municipality<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Lovely greenery in the neighbourhood<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>We address key issues in green space management and explain how it works:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019ll assess which green spaces need to be restored or improved.<\/li>\n<li>We check that the wadis are being properly maintained and adjust the maintenance where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>We are organising a neighbourhood walk with an ecologist, who will talk about how green spaces are managed in the neighbourhood.<\/li>\n<li>In the <em>Zuidkrant<\/em> we provide information on <a href=\"\/water-en-natuur\/groenbeheer\/maaien\">nature-friendly mowing policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>Municipality<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Tackling issues relating to the district heating network<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>\n<ul>\n<li>Residents are experiencing problems with the district heating network. They can submit complaints to Warmtebedrijf Apeldoorn.<\/li>\n<li>The local authority is in discussion with the companies that manage the district heating network. Among other things, we have pointed out that the complaints service is not working properly. The district heating company acknowledges the problem and is taking steps to address it.<\/li>\n<li>Isepa Projects has proposed having the heating plant spray-painted. The company is keen to hear residents\u2019 ideas on this. Residents can contact Isepa Projects to share their ideas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>Municipality, Province, Apeldoorn Heating Company<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Better play areas<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>We\u2019re making existing play areas even more attractive:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More play equipment is to be installed in the playground on Narda van Terwisgastraat. This is the neighbourhood\u2019s preferred option. A football pitch was not chosen.<\/li>\n<li>The playground on Jan Barendsenstraat is to have a boules court. Construction firm Nikkels \u2013 the owner \u2013 has announced that the land is accessible for the time being. The firm has stated that no equipment, such as small goals, may be placed there.
