The local council is launching its own podcast<\/h2>\r\n

Apeldoorn Municipal Council is launching a special pilot project: the podcast \u2018Apeldoorn Makes Its Voice Heard\u2019. Through this podcast, councillors give residents an accessible and personal insight into their work, the issues affecting the municipality and the decisions taken by the council.<\/p>\n

In each episode, councillors discuss current issues, their role as elected representatives and what motivates them to work for Apeldoorn. All 13 council groups will feature once across the six episodes. This gives listeners a glimpse behind the scenes of local politics and helps them get to know the people behind the council members better.<\/p>\n

The podcast is presented by Raymond Lori\u00e9 and Chris Wolters from C&R Podcast. \u201cA podcast should inspire, inform, connect, offer new insights and motivate people to take action. It\u2019s more than just holding a microphone up to a conversation,\u201d say Chris and Raymond during an interview with Nieuwsblad Stedendriehoek. Drawing on their experience in producing podcasts, they ensure engaging conversations that leave room for personal stories, different perspectives and in-depth discussion.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Meet the people behind the local council<\/h2>\r\n

In the first episode of the city council podcast, Frits van der Ley (VVD) and Hans van Gerrevink (CDA) join us for a discussion about their work as councillors. What motivates them, how does the city council work, and what challenges do they face?<\/p>\n

As well as sharing personal stories, they discuss current issues such as safety in the city centre and building a resilient society. An interesting conversation that shows how local politics affects residents\u2019 daily lives.<\/p>\n
