Please bear in mind that, depending on the nature of the request, you may be asked to provide proof of identity.<\/p>\n<h3>DigiD<\/h3>\n<p>Apeldoorn Municipality is required to enable the digital submission of requests. The municipality offers you this option via a specific digital contact form. To do this, you must log in using your DigiD. Your DigiD acts as your electronic signature, enabling us to verify that you are who you claim to be. This saves time; for example, you do not need to visit the town hall to provide proof of identity.<\/p>\n<h3>What do we do when we receive a request from you?<\/h3>\n<p>We will then answer your questions as soon as possible. Sometimes we may have further questions or ask for additional clarification. Once the request is clear, we will get to work.<\/p>\n<h3>Term<\/h3>\n<p>We have one month to respond to your request. You will be notified of this. Is the request particularly complex or extensive? If so, we may extend the deadline by two months if necessary. We will, of course, inform you of this as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<h3>(Partially) reject the request<\/h3>\n<p>Sometimes the local authority may refuse your request. For example, if providing the information would jeopardise the security of the Netherlands, or if it concerns confidential personal or business data. We will give you a clear reason as to why we may refuse or restrict your request.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not agree with the decision regarding your request, you have the option to <a href=\"\/regelen-en-weten\/melding-klacht-of-bezwaar\/bezwaar-tegen-een-beslissing\/\">objection<\/a> to submit.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Wpg request\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i3\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <h3>Police Data Act<\/h3>\n<p>The Police Data Act (Wpg) sets out a number of rights similar to those under the GDPR. These include the right of access, the right to have inaccurate personal data supplemented or corrected, and the right to have personal data erased. You have the right to submit a Wpg request.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Right of access: the right to access the personal data held by the local authority concerning the data subject under the Wpg.<\/li>\n<li>Deletion of data (\u201cthe right to be forgotten\u201d): the right to have personal data deleted under the Wpg if it is being processed in breach of a statutory provision. Instead of destroying the data, we may restrict access to personal data if, for example, it needs to be retained as evidence. In such cases, only a limited number of people will still have access to the restricted personal data.<\/li>\n<li>Rectification: the right to have inaccurate or incomplete personal data amended or supplemented.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i4\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Submit a Wpg request\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i4\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>You can submit a Wpg request at any time. We would ask you to provide us with the following information so that we can process your request promptly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please specify the type of Wpg request you are submitting, for example, a request for access.<\/li>\n<li>Please state clearly what information you would like to receive.<\/li>\n<li>Would you like to have your personal data corrected or deleted? If so, please specify which personal data you are referring to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please note: personal data relating to other individuals will not be disclosed. Please bear in mind that, depending on the nature of the request, you may be asked to provide proof of identity. Furthermore, it is important to note that your Wpg request may be restricted or refused, for example because your personal data forms part of an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Would you like to submit a Wpg request? Please email: <a href=\"mailto:privacy@apeldoorn.nl\">privacy@apeldoorn.nl<\/a>. You can also send a letter. Please mark the envelope to indicate that it is a Wpg request addressed to the Privacy Team.<\/p>\n<h3>Term<\/h3>\n<p>Once we have received your request, we have six weeks to respond to it. Sometimes we may have further questions and ask you to provide further details regarding your request.<\/p>\n<p>If the request is particularly complex or extensive, the deadline may be extended by four weeks. We will inform you of the deadline and of any extension.<\/p>\n<h3>(Partially) reject the request<\/h3>\n<p>The local authority will reject your request if one or more of the grounds for refusal set out in the GDPR or the Wpg apply. For example, if providing the information would jeopardise the security of the Netherlands, or if it concerns confidential personal or business data. We will provide you with a clear explanation of why we may reject or restrict your request.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not agree with the decision on your request, you have the option to lodge an appeal.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Wpg sets out a number of specific grounds for exemption which may lead to your request being refused. This means that if any of these grounds apply, the rights of data subjects set out above may be restricted.
