This also applies to children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Request\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t  <p><strong>You can start the application for a Dutch identity card online.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You enter your details at home.<\/li>\n<li>After entering, make an appointment with the public counter within a month for your signature, fingerprinting, submission of a passport photo and payment.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an e-mail when you can collect your new identity card from City Hall.<\/li>\n<li>You can only start an application for yourself and not for someone else. The person logging in with DigiD is also the applicant, this also applies to children.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><em>Don't want to start the application online? Then make an appointment to make the entire application at City Hall.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Take to appointment:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A good-looking passport photo not more than six months old at the time of application. View the\u00a0<a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/open.overheid.nl\/documenten\/0a2b6c4a-b51d-4ef5-9740-c927250e5903\/file\">requirements for a passport photo<\/a>\u00a0at the central government.<\/li>\n<li>All Dutch and foreign travel documents (passports and identity cards) registered in your name. It does not matter whether they are still valid. For example, do you have a Dutch identity card and are also applying for a passport? Then take your identity card with you. Don't have an \u2018old\u2019 travel document? Then bring another valid proof of identity, such as a driving licence.<\/li>\n<li>Means of payment (prefer pin to cash)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> Is the application for someone under the age of 12? This costs \u20ac60.30 more than a regular application.<\/li>\n<li>If you apply for your Dutch identity card urgently before 2.45pm, you can collect it the next working day after 9.30am. In exceptional cases, it takes 2 working days.<\/li>\n<li>You cannot make an urgent application if you have already made a normal application.
