You cannot receive any allowance for other forms of childcare. Other forms include, for example: pre-school playgroup, lunchtime childcare or a babysitter who is a friend or relative.<\/li>\n<li>The childcare organisation is in the <a class=\"external externe-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.landelijkregisterkinderopvang.nl\/pp\/#\/\">National Childcare Register (LRK)<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Request<\/h3>\n<p>Please complete the online form for the application for additional childcare allowance by clicking the \u2018Apply\u2019 button at the top of this page. You must upload at least the following supporting document:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A copy of the contract or placement agreement from the organisation(s) that will be providing the childcare. This must include at least the following details:\n<ul>\n<li>the number of hours of childcare per child<\/li>\n<li>the hourly rate<\/li>\n<li>the start date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We aim to reach a decision on your application within 6 weeks<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Conditions and applications for reimbursement of childcare costs under the Social Medical Indication scheme\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>If you are not entitled to the childcare allowance from the Tax and Customs Administration and are unable to make use of the <a href=\"\/regelen-en-weten\/subsidies\/subsidies-ondernemers\/subsidie-periodieke-opgave-kosten-peuteropvang\/\">Early Years Childcare Grant Scheme<\/a>. You may be entitled to compensation on the basis of a Social Medical Indication (SMI).<\/p>\n<p>A Social Medical Indication (SMI) is a safety-net scheme that enables us, as a local authority, to provide you with temporary financial support towards the costs of childcare if, due to certain medical or social circumstances, you are (temporarily) not entitled to childcare allowance.<\/p>\n<p>Certain conditions apply if you wish to apply for a contribution towards the cost of childcare under a Social Medical Indication (SMI). You can only apply for a contribution if you also meet these conditions. If you meet these conditions, we will forward your application to the Centre for Youth and Family for an SMI assessment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are not entitled to childcare allowance from the tax authorities or the <a href=\"\/regelen-en-weten\/subsidies\/subsidies-ondernemers\/subsidie-periodieke-opgave-kosten-peuteropvang\/\">Early Years Childcare Grant Scheme<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Due to certain medical or social circumstances, you need childcare for a temporary period.<\/li>\n<li>Your family\u2019s total net monthly income is less than 125% of the social assistance threshold.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will receive the maximum hourly rates set by the central government. You can read more about this under the heading \u2018Amount of allowance\u2019. You will receive the allowance for a maximum of 30 hours per week for a maximum of 3 months. You may be entitled to a 3-month extension.<\/p>\n<h3>Request<\/h3>\n<p>If you believe you are eligible on the basis of a Social Medical Indication (SMI) and wish to apply for a childcare cost allowance, please complete the online form \u2018Application for childcare cost allowance (SMI)\u2019 via the \u2018Apply\u2019 button at the top of this page.
