Individuals and organisations that are working to maintain or enhance valuable cultural-historical landscape features, or that organise activities to enhance the experience of these features, may apply for a grant.<\/p>\n<p>This may involve the restoration of historic landscape features such as a stone circle, burial mound, springhead, avenue or line of sight; making landscape features more visible by clearing vegetation; or organising an event focusing on the cultural landscape. This can take place both outside and within built-up areas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Request\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>Grant applications can be submitted at any time of the year.<\/p>\n<p>An application for a grant for work on or around a valuable cultural-historical landscape feature \u2013 such as restoration or making the feature more visible \u2013 consists of the following components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h4>Description and rationale<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A recent photograph of this valuable cultural and historical landscape feature.<\/li>\n<li>A description of the work to be carried out, explaining how this work will contribute to the restoration or visibility of the valuable cultural-historical landscape feature.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not the owner of the land on which the activities are to take place, you must enclose a letter of consent from the landowner with your application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Technical Specification and Budget<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>If you engage a company, you should include a quotation that specifies labour costs, material costs and VAT.<\/li>\n<li>If you are going to carry out the work yourself, please enclose a technical description and a cost estimate for the maintenance work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You may use the following documents to support your application:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/staalkaarten-landschapselementen-apeldoorn.pdf\">Landscape elements sample cards (PDF, 1.6 MB)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An application for an activity aimed at enhancing the experience of the valuable historic cultural landscape consists of the following components:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h4>Description and rationale<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A description of the location where the activity will take place.<\/li>\n<li>A description of the experiential activity and the target audience.<\/li>\n<li>A clear explanation of why this activity is in line with the objectives of an experiential activity under this scheme.<\/li>\n<li>If you are not the owner of the land on which the activities are to take place, you must enclose a letter of consent from the landowner with your application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4>Budget<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>A budget with explanatory notes.<\/li>\n<li>Quotation(s) itemised by labour costs, material costs and VAT.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Conditions\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i3\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>All the eligibility criteria for this grant scheme can be found in the\u00a0<a class=\"external externe-link\" href=\"https:\/\/lokaleregelgeving.overheid.nl\/CVDR668415\">Heritage Fund Scheme 3.1<\/a>\u00a0in Chapter 7.<\/p>\n<p>Key conditions are: \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These activities contribute to Apeldoorn\u2019s identity and visual quality by maintaining, improving or experiencing elements of the cultural-historical landscape. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The activities take place within the municipality of Apeldoorn.<\/li>\n<li>The activities must not be carried out before you have received a decision on your grant application.<\/li>\n<li>No grant can be applied for in respect of routine maintenance<\/li>\n<li>No grant can be applied for in respect of the hours worked by volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Young landscape features (dating from the 1990s or later) are not eligible for this grant<\/li>\n<li>You may apply for a grant under the Cultural Landscape scheme no more than once a year, and a grant will only be awarded once for the same activity.<\/li>\n<li>The grant amounts to a maximum of 50% of the eligible costs. The maximum grant that may be awarded is \u20ac5,000. .<\/li>\n<li>The initiative must be carried out within one year of the date on which the grant is awarded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i4\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>What if your application is eligible for a grant?\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i4\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i4\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>If your application is eligible for a grant, you will receive a provisional award.<\/p>\n<p>You must submit an application for this grant within 8 weeks of the work\/activities being carried out.<\/p>\n<p>You can do this by submitting an application for a determination via the <a href=\"https:\/\/e-loket.apeldoorn.nl\/f\/2023\/\" class=\"externe-link\">certification form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Please attach the following documents to this application for a decision:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>photos of the activity carried out;<\/li>\n<li>invoices for the costs actually incurred;<\/li>\n<li>proofs of payment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the basis of the form, the council will finalise the grant within 8 weeks and proceed with payment.
