Volunteers are active in a wide variety of areas and make an important contribution to the social fabric of the municipality. Examples include tackling loneliness or providing extra support to young people and informal carers. But this also includes volunteering to provide debt counselling or, conversely, practical support such as doing the shopping for a neighbour who has difficulty getting about. As a local authority, we support these forms of volunteering and we want to continue doing so. Through the \u2018Volunteer Support and Informal Carer Support\u2019 grant scheme, we are putting this ambition into practice.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Volunteer Support and Informal Care Support\u2019 grant scheme forms part of the General Services provided by the municipality of Apeldoorn. This means that activities seeking funding under this grant scheme must be accessible and inclusive for everyone. Activities cannot, therefore, be exclusively for the organisation\u2019s own members. The activities must contribute to the objectives of the grant scheme and of the Wmo (Social Support Act).<\/p>\n<p>Organisations can apply for grants for activities that, through the voluntary efforts of local residents, help people to participate (or continue to participate) in society. The scheme is primarily aimed at supporting residents in vulnerable situations. Hobby and\/or sports clubs, for example, are not covered by this grant scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Here you will find all the information about the scheme, how to apply for this grant, important documents, and how to submit your accountability and finalisation report once the grant has been awarded.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Duration and procedure\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>The \u2018Volunteer Support and Informal Care Support\u2019 grant scheme opens every three years for a new application and award process. In the meantime, new activities and organisations are not eligible to apply for a grant under this scheme.<\/p>\n<p>The application period for the 2027\u20132029 Volunteer Support and Informal Care Support grant scheme ran from 3 March 2026 to 28 April 2026.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Report changes\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i3\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t  <p>If anything changes during the term of your grant, you are obliged to notify us. You can do this by clicking the \u2018Amend\/Confirm\u2019 button at the top of the page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Examples of changes you must report: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a change in performance<\/li>\n<li>delay in implementation<\/li>\n<li>the cessation of the activities or the termination of the partnerships through which you carry out those activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If in doubt, please contact your point of contact.<\/p>\n<p>The local authority will assess whether the change gives rise to a need to amend the grant decision.
