The Presidium usually meets on Thursday evenings before the start of the municipal council meetings. As these meetings are of an organisational (rather than policy-related) nature, the public is not actively invited to attend them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chair: Mayor A.J.M. (Marit) Stam<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Council registry<\/h3>\n<p>The Council Secretariat in Apeldoorn is a small department that works for the municipal council. You can contact the Council Secretariat with any questions about the municipal council. The Council Secretariat will assist you if you wish to put an issue on the political agenda, get in touch with councillors or make a public statement.<\/p>\n<h2>Who works at the council secretariat?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Council Clerk<\/strong>\u00a0Marit Stam is the chief adviser to the municipal council. Her duties include ensuring that everything is carried out in accordance with legislation and regulations, but she also acts as an adviser and sounding board for the council, the Presidium and individual councillors and political groups.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>council advisers<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure that the municipal council is well prepared for its decision-making. You can contact them (using the contact details above) if you have any questions about meetings or the decisions taken by the council.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>strategic advisers<\/strong>\u00a0help the local council to be well prepared. They do this by providing the council with accurate information in good time on complex issues. They offer advice and organise council meetings with residents, organisations and business owners<\/p>\n<p>The council has its own\u00a0<strong>communications adviser\u00a0<\/strong>and its own<strong>\u00a0participation adviser<\/strong>\u00a0who are responsible for internal and external communications.
