{"id":6137,"date":"2026-05-08T09:41:15","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T15:31:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.apeldoorn.nl\/college-van-b-en-w\/bestuurlijke-themas\/apeldoorn-als-regenbooggemeente\/"},"modified":"2026-07-02T13:51:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-02T11:51:52","slug":"apeldoorn-als-regenbooggemeente","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.apeldoorn.nl\/en\/bestuur-organisatie\/college-van-b-en-w\/bestuurlijke-themas\/apeldoorn-als-regenbooggemeente","title":{"rendered":"Apeldoorn as a rainbow municipality"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-acfblock=\"Tekst\" class=\"section a section--green-lighter e-tekst\">\r\n\t<div class=\"container\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"row justify-content-center elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col article-content__content-custom-1220 editor elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h2>This is what we do as the Rainbow Congregation<\/h2>\r\n<ul>\n<li>On 17 May (Idahot \u2013 the International Day Against LGBTIQA+ Phobia) and on 11 October (Coming Out Day), we will raise the rainbow flag at the town hall.<\/li>\n<li>We work closely with the Movisie think tank, which supports us through the Rainbow Municipalities Programme.<\/li>\n<li>In collaboration with the municipality of Apeldoorn, the foundation <a class=\"external external link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pride055.nl\/\">Pride055<\/a>\u00a0is committed to ensuring that the town and villages together form a truly inclusive rainbow community \u2013 a community where everyone feels at home, is accepted and is safe.<\/li>\n<li>We are a member of the Inclusive Sport for LGBTIQA+ People working group.<\/li>\n<li>We focus on expanding local, regional and national LGBTIQA+ networks in order to share knowledge and learn from one another.<\/li>\n<li>We include m\/f\/x above our job vacancies.<\/li>\n<li>In 2018, we signed the Diversity Charter, in which we declare our commitment to diversity and inclusion within the municipal organisation, so that our workforce reflects the diversity of Apeldoorn\u2019s community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Overview of inclusion activities<\/h2>\n<p>As a local authority, we want residents to be able to participate without restriction. That is why the local authority, together with partners, organisations and businesses, aims to remove obstacles and barriers, so that everyone can fulfil their potential and participate in society. The Inclusion Activities Overview sets out what we are working on in 2023 and 2024 to make Apeldoorn an increasingly inclusive place.
