Promoting the circular economy<\/h2>\r\n

We do this by encouraging longer use, reuse, repair and refurbishment (restoring items for reuse). These are important steps in the circular economy. We are working on this at both a scientific and a practical level. For example, by developing business models and data platforms, but also by improving collection schemes and awareness campaigns. If a product lasts longer, that is better for the environment and for future generations. After all, you don\u2019t need materials, transport or energy to manufacture and transport a new product.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n

European and local cooperation<\/h2>\r\n

The municipality of Apeldoorn is a partner in this European project. Locally, we work closely with Foenix and Circulus. We do this under the guidance of Saxion University of Applied Sciences, which is leading the project.<\/p>\n

The E6 project brings together 19 organisations from across north-western Europe. These include local authorities, universities and research institutes from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Ireland and France.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n
