The development will include homes in the affordable, mid-range and higher-end price segments. The flats will feature green outdoor spaces and a communal courtyard garden.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2024, the developers presented the plans to the local community. If all goes well, a second information evening will be held for those interested before the summer holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to start construction in the first half of 2026.  The housing project will then be completed by the end of 2027.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div data-acfblock=\"Tekst\" class=\"section a section--blue e-tekst\">\r\n\t<div class=\"container\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"row justify-content-center elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col article-content__content-custom-1220 editor elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h2>Kanaalstraat is part of a larger whole<\/h2>\r\n<p>Kanaalstraat is a development we will be working on over the coming years and forms part of the plans set out in the <a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/ontwikkelperspectief-binnenstad-apeldoorn.pdf\">Development Plan for Apeldoorn City Park (pdf, 12.4 MB)<\/a>. With the city park, Apeldoorn is continuing to develop into a unique city with its own distinct character. A city centre that remains easily accessible is part of that. You can read more about this at\u00a0<a href=\"\/bestuur-organisatie\/college-van-b-en-w\/beleidsstukken-en-visies\/verkeer-veiligheid\/mobiliteitsvisie\/\">apeldoorn.nl\/mobility-vision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Apeldoorn City Park\u2019 development plan forms part of the Environmental Vision.\u00a0<a href=\"\/bestuur-organisatie\/college-van-b-en-w\/beleidsstukken-en-visies\/economie-ontwikkeling\/omgevingsvisie-2040\/\">The Environmental Vision<\/a>\u00a0describes how Apeldoorn is set to develop in the run-up to 2040. Apeldoorn\u2019s city centre forms an important part of this.
