Parkstraat runs from Stationsplein to Paleis het Loo, the current Hoofdstraat and Loolaan. A long, green corridor lined with various new and existing squares and spaces, such as Stationspark (Stationsplein and surrounding area), Kerkpark (Mariakerk and surrounding area) and Groot Beekpark (Caterplein, Orpheus\/Grote Kerk). Hoofdstraat forms the long ribbon between them. \u2018Parkstraat\u2019 is the name of the development and does not replace the current street names, such as Hoofdstraat and Stationsstraat.<\/p>\n<h2>Parkstraat is a development we will be working on over the coming years<\/h2>\n<p>The Parkstraat is a long-term development comprising several sub-projects that we will be working on over the next 15 years. In 2022, we began preparations for Parkstraat-Zuid. By this we mean the section of Hoofdstraat stretching from Stationsplein to the Oranjerie. What exactly will Parkstraat-Zuid look like? We have been working hard on this together with business owners, property owners, residents, stakeholders and interested parties.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, we\u2019d like to get started here too, but we first need clarity on certain developments in this area. For example, regarding the building plans opposite the McDonald\u2019s. Or the impact of the proposed traffic measures in the mobility plan on this part of the city. With the city park, Apeldoorn is continuing to develop into a unique city with a distinct character. A city centre that remains easily accessible is part of that. You can read more about this at <a href=\"\/bestuur-organisatie\/college-van-b-en-w\/beleidsstukken-en-visies\/verkeer-veiligheid\/mobiliteitsvisie\/\">apeldoorn.nl\/mobility-vision<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Apeldoorn City Park\u2019 development plan forms part of the Environmental Vision.\u00a0<a href=\"\/bestuur-organisatie\/college-van-b-en-w\/beleidsstukken-en-visies\/economie-ontwikkeling\/omgevingsvisie-2040\/\">The Environmental Vision<\/a>\u00a0describes how Apeldoorn is set to develop in the run-up to 2040. Apeldoorn\u2019s city centre forms an important part of this.
