The traffic-calming platform at the junction with Methusalemlaan has been extended around the green space there. The road link on the south side of the green space has been removed. Only a cycle and pedestrian path remains here.<\/p>\n<p>On Derk Kamphuisweg, there is currently a pavement with paving slabs on both sides of the road within the gravel verge. We would like to reduce this to a maximum of one pavement on the south-hand side, as this provides that little bit of comfort that people are now used to. If all residents would prefer to see a full gravel verge on both sides, that is also an option. We would like to remove all the bollards near the physiotherapist\u2019s practice and opposite it.<\/p>\n<p>Where possible, we plant new trees. We only know for certain whether trees can actually be planted once we start digging. There may be cables or pipes in the ground that mean a tree won\u2019t fit after all. Or we may be aware of their existence, but it turns out during digging that there isn\u2019t enough space left. The aim is to plant the trees we have currently marked out. The green trees can probably be planted as planned. The yellow trees on the southern gravel verge are still somewhat less certain. This is linked to the renovation of the gas and water pipes. It is not yet clear where these pipes will be situated in the new layout.
