They help one another when needed. The neighbourhood apps are used regularly. And in buildings such as De Lindenhove, there are communal activities. Some of the older residents would like more social contact and opportunities to meet others.<\/p>\n<h2>Traffic<\/h2>\n<p>Road safety is a cause for concern. Many cyclists and pedestrians feel unsafe when crossing streets such as Loolaan and Koninginnelaan. There is also a significant parking problem in De Naald. This is because many visitors to Paleis Het Loo, local businesses and the GP in the neighbourhood park there.<\/p>\n<h2>Safety<\/h2>\n<p>Most residents feel safe. There have been reports of (attempted) burglaries in some neighbourhoods. However, this has little impact on people\u2019s sense of safety. Neighbourhood apps help residents to report suspicious situations. There is also little nuisance, apart from the occasional disturbance caused by wood-burning or properties where rooms are let out.<\/p>\n<h2>Housing and sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>Many residents have already made their homes more sustainable, for example by installing insulation or solar panels. However, making older homes more sustainable is often difficult. Residents would like tailored advice for these properties. Furthermore, around 20 per cent of residents find their homes too hot in the summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Outdoor space<\/h2>\n<p>Residents are pleased with the green character of De Naald. They enjoy going for walks at Het Loo. However, there is a need for more play areas in the southern part of the neighbourhood. We will be working together to address these and other issues.<\/p>\n<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\n<p>The following areas will receive extra attention in the coming years. First and foremost, we will be investing time in maintaining social cohesion. We will also be looking at what is needed in terms of traffic, transport and local facilities. Together, we will ensure a safe neighbourhood. We will be working on housing and sustainability. We are also looking at which other areas within these blocks would be suitable for people to meet up.<\/li>\n<li>The neighbourhood police officer is coming to the neighbourhood council\u2019s local pub. There, we\u2019ll discuss the neighbourhood\u2019s wishes, such as for meeting places.<\/li>\n<li>We would like to draw residents\u2019 attention to the <a href=\"\/initiatievenmakelaar\">Initiative broker<\/a><span>. They can help with residents\u2019 initiatives. The Initiatives Broker will also be visiting the neighbourhood council\u2019s community caf\u00e9 at some point.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The newsletter and the neighbourhood caf\u00e9 are highlighting the need for more benches in the neighbourhood. Residents can request a bench via the <a href=\"\/wonen-en-leven\/sport-ontspanning-en-cultuur\/subsidies\/subsidie-inwonersinitiatieven\">Initiatives Scheme<\/a><span>. That is why we are looking for new board members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We\u2019re handing out leaflets to recruit board members.<\/li>\n<li>We are asking active residents if they would like to help out on the neighbourhood council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Neighbourhood Council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Fewer speeding drivers<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>We are tackling speeding in the neighbourhood. Particularly in areas where the risks are high, such as near schools, care homes and cycle routes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Where necessary, we install temporary speed displays.<\/li>\n<li>We are discussing with the Public Prosecution Service whether a temporary speed camera can be installed.<\/li>\n<li>As part of the renovation of the Heuvellaan School, we are making the surrounding area safe for pedestrians and cyclists. In due course, school zones will be introduced at all primary schools to ensure road safety.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors to Visio Het Loo Erf sometimes drive too fast along Waldeck-Pyrmontstraat. The neighbourhood council is organising a meeting to discuss this. Visio Het Loo Erf, the local council and residents of the street will be present.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Local authority, neighbourhood council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Safe Koninginnelaan<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>We are making Koninginnelaan safer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 30km zone is being introduced between Anklaarseweg and Edisonlaan. These indicated where parking is permitted. This has worked well. We are looking into whether this could also be done in De Naald.<\/li>\n<li>We are looking into whether we can launch a project to enforce parking regulations.<\/li>\n<li>We are making arrangements regarding parking with Paleis het Loo and other facilities in the surrounding area. We are also considering options such as a blue zone or parking permits.<\/li>\n<li>The neighbourhood council\u2019s newsletter focuses on parking behaviour and the initiatives mentioned above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Local authority, neighbourhood council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Safe junctions<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>We are tackling unsafe junctions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are holding discussions with local residents about improving the Stolberglaan\u2013Loseweg junction.<\/li>\n<li>We are looking into whether the Zwolseweg\u2013Anklaarseweg junction can be made safer by adjusting the traffic lights.<\/li>\n<li>We are removing a number of parking spaces at the Bosweg\u2013Loolaan junction. There will also be an article in the neighbourhood council\u2019s newsletter, setting out where residents can go for grants, support and advice. Special attention will be given to old houses.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Energy Point, neighbourhood council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Information about home batteries<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>An information evening on home batteries was organised in February. If there is sufficient interest, we will repeat the event. We also explain how you can report nuisance, for example via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlasleefomgeving.nl\/stookwijzer\" class=\"external link\">Heating Guide<\/a>. For example, the <a href=\"\/wonen-en-leven\/wonen-en-uw-buurt\/duurzaamheid\/tegeltaxi-oude-tegels-gratis-laten-ophalen\">Tegeltaxi<\/a>, who collects old tiles from your garden.
