They appreciate the green neighbourhood and the sustainable homes. Young families, in particular, get on well with other local residents. This is sometimes less the case for older people and those living alone.<\/p>\n<h2>Traffic and transport<\/h2>\n<p>Residents consider Zuidbroek to be reasonably accessible, but access could be improved. The same applies to traffic flow within the neighbourhood. There are also concerns about road safety. Dangerous situations sometimes arise, particularly around Het Kristal.<\/p>\n<h2>Safety<\/h2>\n<p>During the day, almost everyone feels safe in the neighbourhood. But at night, more than a third find it unpleasant. This is particularly the case in the park, on the Vellertheuvel and near Het Kristal. Residents would also like to continue the dialogue about the asylum seekers\u2019 centre. And about the possible arrival of Skaeve Huse.<\/p>\n<h2>Housing and sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>Many residents are keen to find out how they can make their homes (even) more sustainable. And residents of the caravan site would like some extra pitches.<\/p>\n<h2>Outdoor space<\/h2>\n<p>Most residents are happy with the outdoor space. In some places, people would like to see a glass recycling bin. And as the neighbourhood grows, there is a demand for more variety in shops, restaurants and caf\u00e9s, sports facilities and healthcare services.<\/p>\n<h2>Working together<\/h2>\n<p>Together with residents and organisations, we will be tackling all the key issues. The neighbourhood council also plays a part in this, as do the \u2018volunteers\u2019: residents who are committed to the neighbourhood. You can see a list of all the actions in the agenda.<\/p>\n<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\n<p>The following areas will receive extra attention in the coming years. First and foremost, we are working to maintain social cohesion. In addition, we will be tackling traffic and transport issues in the neighbourhood. We will ensure an appropriate focus on safety. We are assessing what is needed in terms of housing and sustainability. We\u2019re organising an inspiration evening featuring examples of initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>We would like to draw residents\u2019 attention to the opportunity to submit ideas. This can be done via the suggestion box at Het Kristal and via <a class=\"external external link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.samenzuidbroek.nl\">samenzuidbroek.nl<\/a><span>. The neighbourhood council and Stimenz can help develop ideas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The \u2018Opladers\u2019 project group, part of \u2018Ouders Dichtbij\u2019, is working on suitable activities for parents in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood council is helping to inform people about this.<\/li>\n<li>New sports and games activities are being introduced: the Binky Exercise Programme (0\u20133 years) and sports and games at Sporthal Zuidbroek (4\u201312 years). Accres will be announcing these activities.<\/li>\n<li>The neighbourhood social team\u2019s meetings are resuming. At these meetings, neighbourhood professionals work together to promote social cohesion in the neighbourhood.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019d like to draw your attention to Makelpunt Apeldoorn. It is located at Aristotelesstraat 1005 in Sprenkelaar. We\u2019ll discuss together how we can get them excited about this place.<\/li>\n<li>The activities at the youth centre focus on young people from Zuidbroek in particular.<\/li>\n<li>A year after it opened, we\u2019ll assess whether the youth centre has proved popular with young people in Zuidbroek. She also wants to start distributing a local newspaper.<\/li>\n<li>The neighbourhood council distributes posters and leaflets and attends coffee mornings. This ensures that residents who aren\u2019t so active online are also kept up to date with what\u2019s going on.<\/li>\n<li>Residents are very welcome to join the neighbourhood council and lend a hand.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Neighbourhood Council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Road Safety at Het Kristal<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>We\u2019re looking at what can be done to make cycling and walking at Het Kristal safer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We are looking into whether the exit near the Plus supermarket can be made safer.<\/li>\n<li>We are taking measures to make dropping off and picking up children at schools safer. For example, we are looking into whether an additional zebra crossing could be installed opposite the schools.<\/li>\n<li>Cyclists are no longer allowed to cycle on the footpath in front of schools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Municipality<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Safe neighbourhood<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Residents can quickly report unsafe situations via the neighbourhood watch app. We are also running a trial with CCTV cameras in Park Zuidbroek. The cameras will be removed in the summer of 2026. Furthermore, youth services, the neighbourhood council, the police and enforcement officers keep in touch with one another. We will take the findings into account when making our decision.
