One positive aspect is that many homes are quite spacious. It\u2019s also handy that there\u2019s a lovely shopping centre in the neighbourhood. Schools, sports facilities and healthcare services are just around the corner. And many neighbours get on well with one another.<\/p>\n<h2>Few activities<\/h2>\n<p>Residents do find it a shame that there are few activities in Anklaar. Some of them are quite willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved. Residents also sometimes experience nuisance from traffic, noise or drug use.<\/p>\n<h2>Vulnerable residents<\/h2>\n<p>One cause for concern is that the number of vulnerable residents is growing. This is particularly the case in the south-west of the neighbourhood. Some residents are struggling to make ends meet. There are also other issues, such as health problems. These are matters that require extra attention.<\/p>\n<h2>Under development<\/h2>\n<p>At the same time, there are lots of positive developments taking place in Anklaar. The neighbourhood is undergoing rapid development. In recent years, various parts of the neighbourhood have undergone a major refurbishment. For example, five of the six block-of-flats have been demolished. They have made way for new-build properties: flats and detached houses. The shopping centre has also been refurbished and expanded. And there are plans to revamp Wilhelm Tellstraat.<\/p>\n<h2>Let\u2019s get to work together<\/h2>\n<p>In short: Anklaar is a neighbourhood with a lot to offer. But we do need to work hard to keep life here good. We do this together: residents, the local council and other organisations.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\n<div data-acfblock=\"Tekst\" class=\"section a section--grey e-tekst\">\r\n\t<div class=\"container\">\r\n\t\t<div class=\"row justify-content-center elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t<div class=\"col article-content__content-custom-1220 editor elementOnTop\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\r\n<p>Between 2024 and 2034, we will be focusing particularly on six areas. First and foremost, we will be working on the social environment to ensure that Anklaar remains a great place to live. We will be tackling housing and public spaces: ensuring there are enough suitable homes and pleasant outdoor spaces. We are investing in sustainability: energy-efficient homes for everyone. We are tackling mobility: safe roads and adequate public transport. This will free up suitable homes for larger households.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Neighbourhood team, province<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>A more pleasant outdoor space<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Some streets are very littered. People sometimes leave their rubbish next to the bins. For example, through better insulation.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Our Home<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Less disruption caused by parking around the shopping centre<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>We are asking residents about the parking issues affecting the area around the shopping centre. We are investigating the parking pressure in the neighbourhood and looking for a suitable solution.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Retailers\u2019 Association, local council<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>Less (youth) nuisance<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td>\n<p>Together with various organisations, we are rolling up our sleeves to reduce (youth-related) nuisance. Specialist enforcement officers (BOAs) and the neighbourhood police officer are more visible in the neighbourhood, particularly around the shopping centre. We are engaging more with young people on the streets.
