There is a strong sense of community. Many people are actively involved in voluntary work and informal care. At the same time, the neighbourhood is changing. Long-standing residents are making way for newcomers. It remains important to maintain strong ties between residents \u2013 young and old alike.<\/p>\n<h2>Facilities and public spaces<\/h2>\n<p>Residents love the abundance of greenery in and around the Componistenkwartier. However, maintenance is needed in public spaces \u2013 for example, to tackle overhanging bushes and uneven pavements. Schubertplein could also do with a makeover. With more greenery, good parking spaces and better walking routes. There are also opportunities here for a wider range of shops. Furthermore, there are opportunities in Zuiderpark for more sports facilities and a better hangout for young people.<\/p>\n<h2>Traffic and mobility<\/h2>\n<p>In some parts of the neighbourhood, there are road safety issues. Some junctions are difficult to see around. There are also places where people drive too fast. In addition, residents lack public transport around Schubertplein. For example, a bus to the hospital.<\/p>\n<h2>Sustainability<\/h2>\n<p>Finally, many people are struggling with high energy bills. This is because many homes are not properly insulated. There is much to be gained from making homes more sustainable.<\/p>\n<h2>Let\u2019s get to work together<\/h2>\n<p>Together with residents and a wide range of organisations, we will be tackling these and other issues. \u2018Contributors\u2019 play an important role in this. These are residents who want to actively contribute their ideas and get involved. We have drawn up a plan of action setting out the measures we will be taking over the coming years.<\/p>\n<h2>Agenda<\/h2>\n<p>The following areas will receive particular attention. First and foremost, we are working on the social environment. This will ensure that the Componistenkwartier remains a friendly neighbourhood. We are looking into whether local amenities, such as the range of shops, can be improved. Where necessary, we are refurbishing public spaces. We are tackling road safety and mobility issues, such as public transport. We\u2019ll help people living in poverty to access the right support. For example, by producing an events calendar for young and old alike. And we\u2019re working with young people to find a suitable place for them to hang out. We\u2019re putting together a programme of activities for young and old. We\u2019re also looking for more activity leaders for the Sportservice\u2019s activities. That way, more people can take part.
