The CAK calculates your personal contribution and sends you an invoice. You pay the personal contribution to the CAK, not to the local authority or the care provider. You can also calculate your personal contribution yourself on the CAK\u2019s website: <a href=\"https:\/\/app.hetcak.nl\/zelf-regelen\/eigen-bijdrage-rekenhulp\/Start\">CAK \u2013 Personal Contribution Calculator<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i2\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>When are you exempt from paying the Wmo personal contribution?\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i2\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i2\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t  <ul>\n<li>You live in a shared household (multi-person household) with someone other than a first-degree relative (parent\/child), and someone in your household has not yet reached state pension age.<\/li>\n<li>Your household\u2019s total income does not exceed 120%\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rijksoverheid.nl\/onderwerpen\/bijstand\/vraag-en-antwoord\/hoe-hoog-is-mijn-bijstandsuitkering\">of the social assistance rate applicable to you.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You or your partner are already paying a personal contribution for \u2018care in a care home\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Children under the age of 18 do not pay a subscription fee, except in the case of home adaptations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t  <\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-item\">\n\t\t\t  <h2 class=\"accordion-header\" id=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse-u1-i3\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t\t  <span class=\"accordion-toggle\"><\/span>Personal contribution towards accommodation\/stay in a care home\t\t\t\t<\/button>\n\t\t\t  <\/h2>\n\t\t\t  <div id=\"collapse-u1-i3\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse\" aria-labelledby=\"heading-u1-i3\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t\t  <p>Different rules apply to the personal contribution for accommodation. The CAK calculates your personal contribution in the same way as it does for people living in a care home (under the Long-Term Care Act).
