What is a grant?<\/h2>\n

A grant is an entitlement to money from the community. It is usually a one-off amount that you therefore have to apply for again and again. With that amount, the applicant makes a contribution to realise the municipality's established policy. For example, in the field of care and welfare, education, sports, art and culture, integration and recreation.<\/p>\n

These may be organisations and facilities to which the municipality makes a financial contribution, such as sports clubs, the library or playgroups. Small-scale initiatives by residents or foundations are also supported if they fit within the policy.<\/p>\n

Each type of grant has its own \u2018rules of the game\u2019. Such as the amount of the amount, how you apply for it and how you have to prove that you spent the money correctly.<\/p>\n

The higher the amount, the more rules and checkpoints.<\/p>\n

Subsidy index<\/h2>\n

Each year, the local authority decides whether grant amounts are to be indexed, and if so, by what percentage. This is done to ensure that the value of grants keeps pace with the rising cost of living.<\/p>\n

For the year 2027, the indexation rate has been provisionally set at 3.5%<\/h3>\n

This percentage is subject to change, as the Multi-Annual Programme Budget will be finalised in November 2026. We advise you to use this percentage for the time being in your grant application for 2027. Should there be any change to the index percentage, we will inform you after November 2026.<\/p>\n

Avoid late submission \u2013 sort it out before 1 May 2026<\/h3>\n

We would like to receive your grant application for the year 2027 by 1 May 2026 at the latest. You can submit it online via\u00a0Budgetary grant | Municipality of Apeldoorn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Application and award<\/h2>\n

For each type of grant application, there is an online application form (wherever possible). The council\u2019s grants office checks whether the application is complete and whether the correct documents have been included.<\/p>\n

The council\u2019s specialist team checks whether the application meets the criteria set out in the scheme and prepares the decision. The Mayor and Aldermen decide whether to approve the application. The council\u2019s grants office sends out the grant award decision. The municipality\u2019s Grants Office pays out the agreed advance (in instalments).<\/p>\n

The Bibob Act<\/h3>\n

Your application will be assessed in accordance with the Bibob Act if there are indications that there is a serious risk that the grant decision will be used (in part) to commit criminal offences. To undergo the assessment under the Bibob Act, you must complete a separate application form. You will receive this form from the local authority, and it can also be found on the\u00a0BIBO page<\/a>.<\/p>\n
