You must deregister if you are moving abroad or if you will be staying outside the Netherlands for more than 8 months within a 12-month period. These 8 months do not have to be consecutive.

You must report your departure at the earliest 4 weeks before leaving and at the latest on the day of departure.

You can notify the municipality in two ways:

  • Online: you can report your departure online only if no family members remain at your current address. Click the orange button above to submit your departure online.
  • In Person (at the Municipality Desk): if any family members are staying behind at your current address, you must report your departure in person at the municipality. All individuals moving abroad, including minors, must be present.

Make an appointment via the white button above.
