You can only register if:
- You will be living in the Netherlands for at least 4 months within a 6-month period.
- You have a residential address in Apeldoorn.
- You have a valid identity document.
- You have Dutch nationality or the nationality of an EU/EER country or Switzerland.
- If you have a different nationality, you must have a residence permit or proof that you have applied for one (such as an IND sticker or letter).
You must visit the city hall in person to register—someone else cannot do this for you. If you are registering together with your partner and/or children, they must also be present.
Once registered, you will receive an overview of your personal details within four weeks. If you do not yet have a citizen service number (BSN), you will receive it at that time.
