Sewer works on Anklaarseweg

From 17 August to 24 November 2026, Apeldoorn City Council will be carrying out sewer works on Anklaarseweg, near the junction with Vlijtseweg. During these works, there will be a partial closure to motor traffic.

What are we going to do?

Sewer pipes wear out over time. As the condition of the sewer has deteriorated, it is necessary to carry out renovation work on this section.
By renovating the sewer system now, we can prevent damage to the structure, road subsidence and problems with the drainage of waste water. In this way, we ensure that the sewer system continues to function properly in the future.

Impact on traffic

Homes and businesses on Anklaarseweg and Vlijtseweg will remain accessible whilst the works are in progress. The roads will not be completely closed, but diversion routes will be put in place.
Businesses located between Vlijtseweg and Kanaal Noord will be less easily accessible during this period. Diversions are in place via Edisonlaan and Vlijtseweg.

The northbound carriageway of Anklaarseweg will be closed to motorised traffic. Through traffic will be diverted there. The diversion routes will be signposted on site.

Cyclists on the north side of Anklaarseweg are being diverted via the northern lane between McDonald’s and Vlijtseweg. Concrete barriers are being installed to safely separate cyclists from the rest of the traffic.

Planning

The works are scheduled to take place from 17 August to 24 November 2026. The schedule is subject to weather conditions and the progress of the works. Consequently, work may occasionally take place in the evenings.
