Moving within the Netherlands

If you are moving within or to the Municipality of Apeldoorn, you must report the move. Do this no earlier than 4 weeks before and no later than 5 days after the move. Do you pass on the removal later? Then the date on which the municipality receives your removal will be used as the removal date.

Who can report a move?

  • Everyone aged 16 and above.
  • For cohabiting spouses and registered partners: the other partner.
  • For minor children: the parent, guardian or carer.
  • For resident adult children: parents for resident adult children.
  • For resident parents: adult children for resident parents.
  • For someone under guardianship: the curator.
  • Someone you authorise to pass on your move, with the authorisation form (pdf, 155 kB).

Are you moving in with someone?

Then you will also need permission from the main tenant. This can be done in two ways:

  • The principal resident gives permission during the online declaration (log in with DigiD).
  • During the declaration, you attach the consent form and a copy of an identity document of the main occupant.

You can notify us of a move in three ways:

1. Online

Report your move online using the ‘Report’ button at the top of this page.

Move in with someone
In this case, a signed consent (authorisation) from the main resident is required. You have a choice of how you want to provide this.

  • By having the main resident log in with DigiD during your online application
  • By providing a copy of the identity document and the completed and signed consent form (pdf, 745 kB) of the main resident to be uploaded.

Moving to an institution
In this case, the completed consent form (pdf, 745 kB) showing the stamp of the (healthcare) institution is necessary. You do not need to upload a copy of the proof of identity of the head of the healthcare institution.

Take to appointment:

  • A valid identity document
  • Are you moving in with someone? Then also take a copy of the identity document of the main tenant and the completed consent form (pdf, 745 kB) along.
  • Are you moving to an institution? If so, please take the completed consent form (pdf, 745 kB) along with the stamp of the (healthcare) institution.

3. Written

Fill in the declaration form (pdf, 863 kB) / Declaration of relocation  (pdf, 152 kB) (ENG) and send it to us together with a copy of your identity document.
