- Please contact De Kap Foundation
During a meeting, you will discuss the options for temporarily taking over the care with a member of staff from De Kap. - Or why not get in touch with the Memory Aid Centre if you are caring for someone with memory problems. The Memory Support Centre offers activities, as well as personalised information, support and advice.
- A volunteer from De Kap can take over your informal care responsibilities for a few hours. In that case, someone will come to your home to help you, so that you can do something else.
- Day centres and respite care also offer respite for carers. There, professionals can take over the caregiving from you for a morning, an afternoon, a whole day or even longer.
- Sometimes there are even more options available through your (supplementary) health insurance. Check with your health insurer.
For respite care, you sometimes only pay the volunteer’s expenses. For day care or overnight care, you often pay a personal contribution.
