Permit for a banner or temporary structure on or beside the road

You need a permit to put up banners or place a temporary object (excluding building materials) on or beside the road. If you wish to hang banners for an event or a charity collection, you can indicate this when applying for your charity collection or event permit.

Banners in the city centre

  • Banners in Hoofdstraat and Asselsestraat may only be attached to the tension cables owned by Binnenstad Ondernemers Apeldoorn. To do so, you will need permission from the board of Binnenstad Ondernemers Apeldoorn and the Stichting Sfeerverlichting.   • From 15 October to 1 February, no banners will be permitted in the city centre due to the festive lighting.

Additional conditions regarding banners and objects on or by the roadside

  • Banners or objects placed on or beside the road must not pose a danger to traffic and must not obstruct the view of road users.
  • Banners must not be hung above the carriageway.
  • Banners or objects must not be placed on, against or above national and provincial roads.
  • Banners or objects must not be nailed to a tree.
  • Banners must be securely fixed in place, and any objects must be properly positioned.
  • After the authorised date, the banners or objects must be removed as soon as possible.
