There has been a great deal of interest in the grant scheme for residents’ initiatives. As a result, the budget available for 2026 has now been fully utilised.
U kunt nog steeds een subsidieaanvraag indienen. We nemen uw aanvraag pas in behandeling als er weer budget beschikbaar is.
At the moment, it is not yet clear whether additional funding will be made available this year. As soon as we have more information, we will let you know via this website.
Do you have any questions? If so, please contact the initiative brokers at Apeldoorn City Council via initiatievenmakelaar@apeldoorn.nl.
Do you have a good idea to make your neighbourhood, village or city more beautiful, social or attractive? With the subsidy scheme for residents' initiatives, the Municipality of Apeldoorn makes subsidies available to help residents realise their plans. Think, for example, of a picking garden, a street party or a meeting place in the neighbourhood. You can view real-life examples To get inspiration for your own idea.
As an Apeldoorn resident, you can apply for a grant of up to €5,000 throughout the year. Do you have a larger initiative that requires more financial support? Then you can enter the round for large initiatives twice a year.
Your initiative must meet a number of conditions. The main ones are:
- There is support for your idea: several people are enthusiastic.
- You contribute yourself, for example in the form of time or resources.
- The initiative is accessible to a wide range of residents.
- The budget is realistic and does not contain excessive costs.
- The idea is complementary to existing initiatives in the neighbourhood.
- It matches the municipality's plans and residents' wishes.
Additional conditions for major initiatives
For initiatives applying for grants in excess of €5,000, consideration will also be given to:
- Public support.
- How innovative and complementary the initiative is.
- The contribution to self-reliance, participation and health of residents.
- Connecting to the Vitality Agenda and the Area Monitor.
Which costs are eligible?
Grant can be applied for costs directly related to the initiative, such as:
- Organisational costs
- Location rental
- Communication costs
- Thanks for volunteers
- Costs for permits and conditions imposed by the municipality
You will get no grant for:
- Food and drink for visitors (unless necessary for inclusion, max €10 per person)
- Structural costs for accommodation, management and maintenance
- Volunteer allowances
- Non-emergency or excessive costs
How many times can you apply for funding for the same initiative?
You can apply for funding for the same (or largely the same) initiative a maximum of three times within five years.
- The first time, you can get a maximum grant of €5,000.
- Are you applying for funding for the same initiative a second time? Then you can get a maximum of 70% of the amount you received the first time.
- Do you apply for subsidy a third time? Then you can get a maximum of 40% of the amount you received the first time.
Note: The percentages of 70% and 40% are calculated on the subsidy amount you received in the first year. So it is not 70% or 40% of the new costs or again up to €5,000 per year.
Has your initiative changed significantly? If so, we will assess whether it is a new initiative. In that case, you can again apply for a maximum of €5,000.
You can read a complete overview of all conditions in the regulation on officialnotices.co.uk.
You can submit a grant application via the ‘apply’ button at the top of this page. To do so, log in with DigiD or eHerkenning and fill in the digital form.
Applications up to €5,000 can be submitted throughout the year. Assessment of applications above €5,000 takes place in two rounds each year. These larger applications must be in by 31 May or by 31 December.
