The Mayor and Aldermen of the Municipality of Apeldoorn hereby announce that on 20 September 2022 they adopted noise pollution maps for the year 2021, as referred to in Section 11.6(4) of the Environmental Management Act. These maps provide an overview of noise pollution from road traffic, rail traffic and industry.
Noise pollution maps for Apeldoorn
The obligation for the municipality of Apeldoorn to draw up noise maps every five years is laid down in the Environmental Management Act and stems from the implementation of the European Environmental Noise Directive in the Netherlands. These noise exposure maps show the calculated noise situation in 2021 from road traffic, rail traffic and industry in Apeldoorn. The maps provide information on noise-sensitive locations (such as homes, hospitals and schools), quiet areas and the number of residents exposed to a certain level of noise from the various sources.
