About Omnizorg

The Omnizorg Foundation provides shelter, support, care and accommodation to vulnerable residents of the Oost-Veluwe region who are struggling with addiction, mental health issues and/or have become homeless. Omnizorg is committed to their recovery and rehabilitation. Most clients face a combination of problems and have become homeless. As a result, they are unable to cope in society and suffer from health problems. At its centre in Apeldoorn, Omnizorg offers them a peaceful place to recover, connect with others in similar circumstances, and rebuild the necessary skills and self-confidence.

Omnizorg provides two types of care:

Community support

The people using the shelter are homeless men and women aged 23 and over. They often face a range of issues, such as having no social network or only a limited one, mental health problems, financial difficulties, and some are struggling with addiction. They use the shelter on a temporary basis with the aim of moving on to a suitable long-term accommodation.

Supported living

Omnizorg has small residential units where 34 clients live in a supported environment. These clients have their own place within Omnizorg for a somewhat longer period, where they can find peace and quiet and also learn to live alongside others in similar circumstances.

Omnizorg is a partnership between Tactus Addiction CareIrisZorg and Riwis Care & Wellbeing. Omnizorg operates at a regional level and works on behalf of the municipalities of Apeldoorn, Brummen, Epe, Hattem, Heerde and Voorst. These municipalities in the Oost Veluwe region collaborate in providing social care and supported housing. This is a statutory duty.
