Preliminary design for Schubertplein

The results of the questionnaires have been incorporated into the design. The guiding principles and comments can be found on this page.

The design:

  • Takes on a green appearance;
  • Has benches between the green sections;
  • This provides a space for people to meet;
  • Parking has been optimised;
  • Paving on the square and the
  • The car park is being refurbished.

Parking on market days

Under the current arrangements, there are 120 parking spaces in total. On market days, the western car park is occupied by market stalls, whilst the southern and eastern car parks are available. On market days, 65 parking spaces are available. Under the new arrangements, there will be 112 parking spaces in total. Optionally, 6 additional parking spaces can be created. On market days, 81 parking spaces are available.

Market

The market will remain at its current location. The exact location of the stalls is still to be decided in consultation with the market traders.
