When should you make a request for information?

You should submit a request for information if you wish to obtain information for your own use. For example:

  • if you want to know how often something happens, why a decision was taken, or how much something costs
  • if you need documents to lodge an objection or a complaint

The information will only be shared with you and will not be made public.

Would you like to request access to your personal data? If so, please submit a request for access under the GDPR.

When should you make a Woo request?

A Woo request is a way of asking for documents held by the local authority but which are not yet in the public domain. If your request is approved, anyone will be able to view the information.
