You can sort the following types of waste:
When you sort your waste, we can reuse the materials it contains. Materials are valuable, and it’s a shame to use them just once. For example, we can reuse clothing, furniture and electronics very effectively. We turn plastic, organic waste, paper and cardboard into new products. By sorting waste at source (in your home), the quality of the materials is preserved much better. This means we can reuse them more effectively. As a result, we end up with less and less residual waste. Disposing of residual waste also costs money, whereas the other waste streams can be handed in free of charge. Reuse and recycling are therefore good for the planet, for ourselves and for future generations.
In Apeldoorn, we sort our waste. You dispose of your residual waste in underground bins in your neighbourhood, paying each time you use them. The other waste streams are free of charge. For these, you can use mini-bins at home or the communal bins in your neighbourhood. For more information, visit the Circulus website or the Circulus app.
In the municipality of Apeldoorn, you pay a fixed annual fee and a charge each time you dispose of general waste. This is settled via the waste collection charge. Read more about the costs.
For your move, you can apply for a one-off moving pass with extra kilograms of waste allowance. Find out how to apply for a moving pass.
