Here’s what you’ll be doing
As a senior mobility adviser, you will work on a wide range of mobility issues within the municipality of Apeldoorn. You will advise on traffic and mobility in spatial planning projects, whilst ensuring compliance with policy and technical planning principles.You will help devise solutions to traffic issues, assess plans against legislation and regulations, and consult with project teams, colleagues and residents. In doing so, you will be able to translate complex issues into clear advice and practical solutions.

In this role, you’ll constantly be switching between focusing on the details and maintaining an overview. You’ll be closely involved in traffic engineering issues, whilst also ensuring that work is allocated effectively and that priorities are clear. You’ll know what expertise is required and bring the right people together to drive issues forward.
You will also lead the mobility tactics team. This team is responsible for translating mobility policy into concrete solutions in public spaces. Together, you will ensure that plans are feasible and align with Apeldoorn’s ambitions. In doing so, you will collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines, such as urban planning, operations, project management and design. You will also involve residents and other stakeholders in the planning process, for example during information evenings or public consultation processes.
