Healthy School

The Healthy School approach is a methodology for primary, secondary and further (vocational) education institutions to promote the health of pupils and students. A school that systematically works on one or more health-related themes and meets the legal requirements can apply for a theme certificate under the Healthy School scheme.

The aim of the Healthy School approach is to embed a healthy lifestyle in the school’s DNA. This is achieved by following a step-by-step plan to address a health theme chosen by the school itself. Examples of themes include: Nutrition, Physical Activity and Sport, Well-being, Media Literacy, or Relationships and Sexuality.

You can find more information about the Healthy School scheme at www.gezondeschool.nl.
