When do we adjust your exempt allowance?
We adjust the exemption threshold if the calculation indicates this is necessary. This is only possible:
- if we have attached your income;
- or if we set off a debt against your benefit.
How do you request the adjustment?

What if the local authority is not the party seizing your assets?
We are unable to adjust the exemption threshold for another creditor. Please contact the other creditor regarding this matter.
