Residents’ parking permit

There are two ways to apply for a residents’ parking permit:

Apply for your licence online using the button above.

Desk

Book an appointment online to apply for a licence at the counter. Please bring the following with you to your appointment:

• A valid identity document
• A means of payment (preferring debit cards to cash)

Once you have applied and paid, your parking permit is ready for use. You will receive a digital permit linked to your vehicle’s registration number. Enforcement officers scan registration numbers on the street to check whether a vehicle has a valid parking permit

You can apply for a parking permit if you:

• You are registered at an address in the licence area;
• You are the owner or main user of the car for which you are applying for the licence. The car must be registered in your name with the Dutch Vehicle Authority (RDW) or be at your long-term disposal. Your registration number must not be suspended by the RDW;
• Does not have its own parking facilities (on its own premises, for example).

Addresses for which you cannot obtain a licence

You cannot apply for a parking permit at the addresses listed below. However, you can purchase a season ticket for the Museum-Centrum car park (Q-Park) by calling (088) 329 5100.

There are other addresses that are not eligible for a local authority parking permit – even though they are located within a permit zone – because, for example, the building has its own car park or underground car park. No list of these is currently available.
