Residents and professionals can call this number (088 933 55 00) if they are concerned about someone exhibiting confused behaviour. This could, for example, be a neighbour who has had her curtains drawn for some time. Or an acquaintance who has become socially isolated and is neglecting themselves. If a care worker is known to the person concerned, it is of course better to contact them directly.

The caller will be put through to an experienced support worker. The support worker will either offer advice to the caller or forward the report to the local authority where the person concerned lives. In the latter case, the local authority will assess at short notice what support is required in that specific situation.

If you are making a report on behalf of someone else and this report is submitted to the local authority, you will not receive any further feedback due to the GDPR (data protection legislation). You can rest assured that we will follow up on your report.

Local authorities want to provide timely support to vulnerable people. Early detection is key to this. The Advice and Reporting Centre for Confused Behaviour was set up to ensure these concerns are channelled to the right place. This enables residents and professionals to raise their concerns in good time, allowing the local authority to provide support or involve healthcare professionals where necessary.

Do you suspect that someone needs compulsory care? If so, you can also report this to the Advice and Reporting Centre for Confused Behaviour. The Compulsory Mental Health Care Act provides the legal framework for this. The central government provides information on the frameworks governing compulsory care.

The Advice and Reporting Centre for Confused Behaviour receives reports on behalf of the 16 local authorities in the Midden-IJssel/Oost-Veluwe and Achterhoek regions. The telephone number is available daily from 08:30 to 23:00 on 088 – 933 55 00.

Is this an emergency? If so, please call 112. Do you have any questions or concerns about suicide? If so, please contact the suicide prevention helpline on 0900-0113 or visit www.113.nl. Both telephone numbers are anonymous, free of charge and available 24 hours a day.
