Achieving climate resilience faster together

More and more public authorities, businesses, civil society organisations and citizens are actively working on climate adaptation. They are working towards a common goal: to ensure that the Netherlands is resilient to climate change by 2050. They are designing neighbourhoods and homes that can withstand heat, drought and flooding, and much more besides. They are doing this in line with the National Climate Adaptation Strategy (NAS) and the Delta Programme on Spatial Adaptation (DPRA). In Apeldoorn, we are therefore working together with various Dutch organisations and local authorities to pool our knowledge and resources and become climate-resilient more quickly through collaboration.

This project is made possible in part by a European grant from the LIFE Fund.

In Apeldoorn, one of the projects we are working on is making the city centre greener: Apeldoorn City Park. Over the coming years, we will also be making changes here to make the city more resilient to heat and drought, for example.
