A meeting place and activities for young people aged 12–18
|
We’re going to work together to support young people aged 12–18:
- The youth centre in the MFC is being expanded. A pump track is also being built. And a sports park manager is taking up the post.
- The Klarenbeek Youth Club and youth workers are to work together to organise activities.
- There’s going to be a cola disco at Café Gewoon Neut. The plan is to organise these more often.
- We are looking into the possibility of setting up a youth panel. This panel could play an active role in developing suitable services for young people.
- We want to launch an exercise programme for people of all ages.

Activities to promote a healthy and fulfilling life for older people
|
Together, we’re working to ensure that you can enjoy your later years in Klarenbeek:
- We’ll be continuing with our existing activities, such as the group lunch, the drop-in session at the MFC and the cycling workshops.
- We’re looking to see if a small group of enthusiastic older people would be willing to help come up with ideas for new activities.
- Students are organising a trial outing for young and old. If it proves successful, it will become a regular event.
- The Klarenbeek Youth Club and youth workers organise activities where young and old can meet and help one another.

Easy access to activities
|
We make it as easy as possible to take part in activities:
- Residents are provided with clear information about transport to activities. For example, from PlusOV and ZorgSaam.
- The village liaison officer and the Facebook account will remain in place.
- The village council is working with De Klarenbeker to find ways of effectively sharing information about activities.
- We are looking at ways to make the MFC more accessible to wheelchair users.

Good care for everyone
|
Together, we’ll look at how everyone can receive appropriate care:
- We are holding an information evening on ‘neighbourhood support groups’. These are small groups of 10–15 households that help one another. We are also actively inviting residents of Wolthuis to attend.
- We’re working with GPs to see how we can make information about care and support clearer. In other words: in plain language. And: not just online, but on paper as well.

First aid nearby
|
We regularly organise first aid and AED (for CPR) training sessions. This ensures there are always trained volunteers on hand in the event of an emergency. The village council and De Klarenbeker publish the locations of the AEDs in their newsletters.

Keeping volunteering on the right track
|
We make a point of thanking and showing our appreciation to volunteers for their work. We also ensure that the Volunteers’ Get-together continues to take place. This helps us to support one another. And we encourage people to become volunteers.

Making good use of the neighbourhood bus and shared taxi
|
We are raising residents’ awareness of the neighbourhood bus and RRReis’s stop-and-go taxi service. And we are discussing whether the connection between the neighbourhood bus and the train could be improved.

A sense of security
|
The special constables and the neighbourhood police officer are regularly seen in the neighbourhood. Whenever possible, they also attend residents’ meetings. And, where necessary, they keep residents informed through channels such as newsletters.

Homes to suit all ages
|
Young people and older residents would like to continue living in the village. This requires different types of housing. We are organising an information evening on the division of houses and land, and on collaborative building (collective private commissioning, CPO).

Facilities in good order
|
It is important that there remain sufficient local amenities, even as Klarenbeek grows. The municipalities of Apeldoorn and Voorst regularly consult with one another regarding new-build developments and local amenities. We will keep residents informed of these developments. We are also taking into account the impact of the Zuidrand project on local amenities.

Preserving the village’s character

Whilst drawing up plans for the Zuidrand project, we discussed with local residents how Klarenbeek can remain an independent village with green surroundings.

Useful information on sustainability
|
We help residents to live more sustainably:
- The Klarenbeeks Belang and De Klarenbeker newsletter shares tips on making your home more sustainable.
- There will be an information evening on sustainable housing and living.
- We’re holding street interviews to find out what residents need as they make the switch to sustainable energy. We’re paying particular attention to people whose voices are not often heard.
