* At the Soerenseweg Cemetery, private graves for 20 years and for an indefinite period (at the standard rate) are available on a limited basis in the 3rd-class section. Please enquire in advance with the cemetery administration about the options. However, it is possible to secure a burial plot at a location of your choice in the former 1st and 2nd class sections. The fee for the burial plot is €19,657 and the fee for 100 years’ maintenance is €7,726.
At Wenum Cemetery, new private graves are being allocated with a maximum depth of 2.

New facilities at Soerenseweg Cemetery from June 2019

The municipality of Apeldoorn is set to issue further excavation permits on the Soerenseweg Cemetery in Apeldoorn. This concerns a limited number of third-class graves. This has been made possible by the new 2018 Management Regulations. The graves to be allocated are located in the old section of the Soerenseweg cemetery.
A number of conditions apply to the allocation of these Class 3 graves.

  1. Issued only in the event of a death.
  2. Issued only in consultation with the cemetery administration.
  3. Twenty-year licence, including rights, maintenance and burial rights, totalling €4,696,–
  4. Perpetual lease with 100 years’ maintenance and burial rights, totalling €11,679,–
  5. These graves are allocated in rows; you cannot choose a specific plot.
