Poverty Action Plan 2.0

Apeldoorn City Council is tackling poverty with 24 initiatives. These measures are set out in the new ‘Apeldoorn Poverty Action Plan’, which the council approved this week. Councillor Sunita Biharie said: “Ideally, I would like this plan to be unnecessary, but it isn’t; it is desperately needed. I am proud of this action plan, drawn up with and for the people of Apeldoorn. By taking a targeted approach and expanding our support schemes, we will support more residents and provide even better assistance to both residents and businesses.”

Through these initiatives, we help children and adults to participate fully in our local community. We ensure that more people have enough money to buy what they need. This means that people of all ages can continue to develop, even if they are on a low income.
