Contact with your neighbourhood
The area manager plays a unifying role within the area. You can therefore contact him or her with any questions you may have about the area and what is happening there. Naturally, the area manager will not be able to answer all your questions personally. However, he or she can help you find a solution and put you in touch with the right person or organisation.

Quality of Life and Safety with the Local Enforcement Officers
Each area has its own specific issues. To identify and tackle these as effectively as possible, local community officers have recently been introduced in Apeldoorn. A local community officer acts as the point of contact for residents, neighbourhood police officers and other partners in the network.
A neighbourhood police officer
- Acts as an intermediary between the Public Space Unit, the Prevention, Surveillance and Enforcement Department of the local authority, and residents in the area.
- Identifies and responds to unsafe and unpleasant situations in the area and refers these to the appropriate partner.
- Provides a bird’s-eye view of trends and developments in the area.
- Is visible to residents and external parties.

See who the local officials are for each neighbourhood

On the area map, you can search by address to find out which district or neighbourhood it is in and who the key local officials are.
On politie.nl You can easily find out who the neighbourhood police officer is in your area. Simply enter your postcode at the top, click on ‘neighbourhood police officers’, and a map will appear on the screen which you can click on. You can also select the ‘Show as list’ option. A contact form is available for each neighbourhood police officer if you wish to send them a message. Messages are answered by the police’s Regional Service Centre and forwarded to the neighbourhood police officer where necessary. Please note: the contact forms on the police website are intended solely for non-urgent enquiries. If you wish to contact the police directly, it is best to call 0900-8844 or, in an emergency, dial 112.
