Shopping on Sundays

All Sundays on which shops are open in the municipality of Apeldoorn.

All shops in the municipality of Apeldoorn are permitted to open on Sundays between 12.00 and 18.00. This also applies to furniture shops, DIY stores, garden centres, car dealerships and supermarkets. Shopkeepers decide for themselves whether their shop is open on Sundays and public holidays. On Uit in Apeldoorn Here you will find a list of shops that are open on Sundays.

However, on Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, shops are not allowed to open, regardless of the day of the week.

Parking

Please note: On the first and last Sunday of every month, and on every Sunday in December, you must pay for parking in the city centre. On public holidays such as New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day, parking is free.

I live on a street where a parking permit is required. Does this apply every Sunday?

Yes. In the permit zones in the city centre, the permit requirement applies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This will not change. You must always display your permit behind the windscreen.

Late-night shopping in the city centre

Late-night shopping in Apeldoorn town centre takes place on Thursday evenings. Shops are allowed to stay open until 9.00 pm on those evenings.
