We’ll be working on Methusalemlaan from the Markendoel up to around number 82. The carriageway can be made quite a bit narrower here too. In this case, we’ll make the new profile asymmetrical. On the even-numbered side, the verge will remain the same width as it is now, whilst on the odd-numbered side, the verge will be made over a metre wider. This will give the trees more room to spread their roots.
