Where and when will the work take place?

From 16 March 2026 to 29 April 2026 inclusive, daytime works will take place on the right-hand slip road. We refer to this as phase 1. During this phase, we will construct the right-hand slip road on Deventerstraat and complete the junction with Molenstraat. You can see the work area in the section shaded in red in the image below this text. Traffic can pass the roadworks but cannot turn onto Wapenrustlaan from Deventerstraat. Molenstraat will also be closed to traffic from Deventerstraat during this period. This will be clearly indicated by diversion signs and barriers. 

In phase 2, we will be replacing the entire surface of the Deventerstraat–Wapenrustlaan junction. We will be carrying out this work in the evenings and at night. The work area is shown in the blue-shaded section of the image below this text. The table below shows on which nights the junction will be partially closed. 

These night-time road closures are necessary to ensure that the junction and the surrounding roads remain as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, the works will cause some noise disturbance. 

Accessibility during the works

• Wapenrustlaan is closed to traffic from all directions from the De Tol junction towards Burgemeester Quarles van Uffordlaan.
• The Deventerstraat–Molenstraat junction is completely closed to both cars and cyclists. Traffic can use the Auroralaan–Wapenrustlaan route.
• The route from Wapenrustlaan to Deventerstraat (city centre) is closed. Traffic is being diverted from Burgemeester Quarles van Uffordlaan.
• The Deventerstraat → Zutphensestraat section is closed. Traffic is being diverted from Laan van Zevenhuizen.
• All other routes (green arrows) will remain accessible. However, speed limits will apply and there will be disruption for road users.
• Diversion routes will be put in place for cars and cyclists whilst the work is being carried out.
• Temporary traffic lights will be installed during the works to manage traffic at the junction.
