Housing development on the site of a former bus depot

For many years, the former bus depot on Wapenrustlaan in Apeldoorn was a key public transport hub, where buses operated by Hermes and Keolis were parked and maintained. In 2021, the buses were relocated, meaning that this function ceased. Now, Dreef Beheer, the owner of the site, wants to work with the local council to develop the area into a modern residential estate, called Remise Park.

The original plan was to relocate Veldhuis’s supermarkets to this site. However, in the summer of 2024, it was announced that this plan would not go ahead. The owner is now focusing on the development of around 500 flats, which will be built around a centrally located park.
