The parking spaces in De Maten are generally narrower than the current standard. This means that the parking bays are almost never all in use at the same time. That is why we are making the bays wider. As a result, there may sometimes be one fewer bay in a row of parking spaces, but every bay can be used properly. In some cases, we are reducing the size of the adjacent green area. We only do this if there is no tree there, as we want to preserve the neighbourhood’s green character.

At other sites, we have relocated the parking spaces to create a green space in a more valuable location. This, too, has resulted in a change in the number of parking spaces.
