Retrospective
On 10 April 2024, the municipality of Apeldoorn and TenneT signed an important agreement to bury the high-voltage power line in De Maten. TenneT has drawn up a detailed design and carried out various studies.
Unfortunately, strict regulations have been introduced regarding nitrogen. Construction projects are not permitted to cause additional nitrogen to be deposited in a Natura 2000 site. In this project, however, this will occur during the construction phase. The local authority and TenneT are working together to find a solution, which may result in some delay to the project
Invitation to a public consultation meeting
We would like to invite you to take part in a public consultation meeting on the environmental plan. The underground route of the high-voltage power line will be presented during this meeting, and experts from TenneT will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. You will have the opportunity to share your views and comments until 1 June 2025. This is the final step in the public consultation phase.
As there is still some uncertainty regarding nitrogen, this issue will be left out of consideration at this stage.
Continued
Following the public consultation phase, we will amend the Environmental Plan where possible. The Environmental Plan will then be made available for public inspection, at which point you will be able to view it. We expect this step to take place in September 2025, but this depends, amongst other things, on the results of the study into the effects of nitrogen.
